Marietta, GA - Surgeland recording artists Bad Boy are scheduled to appear at "The Big Gig" otherwise known as Summerfest, the largest music festival in the USA that attracted almost one million visitors in 1998. Milwaukee rock group Bad Boy will perform at 7:30PM on Wednesday, June 30 on the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse stage opening for Journey.

Bad Boy reunited last September in support of their "Best of" CD released by Marietta, Georgia's Surgeland Records last year. The CD is the first time any Bad Boy music has been released in the CD format. Bad Boy, after their two album stint with United Artists, released two independent LPs, an EP and several singles in the 80's. The "Best of" CD is a compilation of 80's releases and also features two new songs recorded for this project. The CD is available online at www.cdbaby.com and at Midwestern retailers.

Bad Boy's roster includes original members guitarist/vocalist Steve Grimm and drummer Lars Hanson along with 16 year veteran vocalist/guitarist Xeno (formerly with Cheap Trick) as well as the newest addition bassist Craig Evans. Bad Boy's rigorous touring schedule this summer also includes other festival performances at Canal Days in Portage, Riverfest in Waukesha and Waterfest in Watertown - all in Wisconsin.

Summerfest has been a great tradition in music for the past 30 years and is held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin along Lake Michigan. It offers 11 consecutive days of musical choices on 12 different stages from June 24 through July 4. Summerfest presents the best regional and national entertainment featuring musical genres including rock n' roll, alternative, country, jazz and blues to big band, pop, zydeco, cajun, and more. Other performers on the entertainment roster this year include John Mellencamp, Brandy, Journey, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Silverchair, Hootie and the Blowfish, Dave Matthews Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alan Jackson, and Rod Stewart.
